Faculty

Faculty comprises of foreign qualified filmmakers, industry professionals and media experts. SAAMPT strongly advocates faculty exchange  and visits from abroad that will provide students global exposure and expertise. SAAMPT most qualified faculty are Columbia College Alumni whose graduates include Mauro Fiore for his achievement in Cinematography for  'Avatar,  Janusz Kaminski renowned cinematographer who worked side-by-side with Steven Speilberg for Schindler’s List Artificial Intelligence and Jurasic Park , George Tillman Jr. and Robert Tietel’s  Soul Food  and  Men of Honour and cinematographer Declan Quinn’s collaborations with Mira Nair for Kama Sutra, Moonsoon Wedding and Vanity Fair starring Reese Witherspoon. Our highly qualified faculty and inventive professionals will mentor and nurture the future filmmakers of Pakistan.

Michael Rabiger

Michael Rabiger has worked in the cutting room on feature films, as an editor and director in documentaries, and as a production and aesthetics educator for many years. He has directed or edited more than 35 films and was chair of the Film/Video Department at Columbia College, Chicago. He had led a multinational European documentary workshop for CILECT, the world consortium of film schools, and has taught narrative writing, directing, and production as a visiting professor at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

CHRIS SWIDER
writer, director, and educator

Chris Swider is a graduate of Columbia College, Chicago, and he holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the Directing Program of the Polish National Film School, Lodz, Poland (PWSFTv i T).  He has made both documentary and narrative films.  Mr. Swider is a professor at Columbia College, Chicago where he teaches directing, and he is a producer at BulletProof Film in Chicago.  Mr. Swider also works as a script consultant and continues to write screenplays, both dramas and comedies.  Three of his screenplays have been awarded in screenwriting competitions.  His screenplay, Peter and the Chrome Plated Fish, was awarded first prize in the comedy screenplay category at the Houston International Film Festival in April 2007.
