	A warm welcome to South Asian Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Television! SAAMPT has been established to provide comprehensive education in the diverse field of filmmaking. The academy commitment is to offer professional training in various areas in the discipline whether directing craft for film or television, cinematography for motion pictures, documentary filmmaking and television production. SAAMPT inculcates strong work ethics and professionalism required in its wide range of challenging roles in media today. In my 8 years of academic experience at Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA), Agha Khan University and SZABIST where I have successfully taught and conducted various courses in the discipline of Film/Video. Understanding the importance of film education in Pakistan and its broad scope, I have successfully designed curriculum for various prestigious Institutes duly approved by Higher Education Commission (HEC). Realizing the tremendous response with increasing number of students applying for media programs in different Universities there are now more job opportunities available today. SAAMPT mission is to ensure quality programs in various disciplines of filmmaking using industry standard equipment with extensive hands on practical work on 16MM, 35MM, HD and DV camera. SAAMPT believes film to be the most integral part of its curricula for understanding the aesthetics of other media and formats. SAAMPT own fully equipped and expansive studios provides professional and creative environment to build sets, shoot and direct projects using overhead lighting.. Keeping in perspective the competitive world of media and film education in the world SAAMPT offers faculty exchange and visits from reputable universities abroad for lectures, seminars, workshops and conferences at its facility. SAAMPT aims to bring together the best experts in the field to impart and share experiences in a creative and vibrant environment. The Academy structured program, technical facilities and expertise provides an environment where students learn to collaborate with contemporaries and share enthusiasm and find peers and mentors. SAAMPT curricula is designed to develop your creative inner self which will help you choose and focus on one specialization while you are being trained to acquire various other art and craft in a well rounded education.
