SAAMPT: 16MM Hands on and Minds on

	hands and minds-on SAAMPT strongly emphasizes on learning industry tools as it's main focus of the curricula in order to achieve higher standards of education in the field. Since craft and acquiring of tools & techniques are essential part of the learning experience at SAAMPT it provides educational expertise in understanding of the industry formats and mediums. The academy’s mission is to offer at par academic and educational facilities to students incorporating both conventional and most modern industry standard equipment and facilities. The learning process begins in the very early stages where students work with 16MM format using H-16 Bolex with turret, a single winding camera to develop in-depth understanding of the texture, tonality and latitude in both black & white and color photography. In addition, students acquire knowledge of different film stocks and film speeds. Students use 16MM in the sophomore as their basis to operate and work from to understand advanced mediums and formats such as Super 16MM, 35MM and HD. Film stocks are being provided by Imaging Solutions, official distributor of Kodak Ltd, Pakistan and SAAMPT Academic Partner.
